Belief in the Holy Spirit
Pentecostals emphasize the active presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and the church. This belief is rooted in the events of Pentecost, described in Acts 2, where the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and enabled them to speak in various languages

The Experience of Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Pentecostals believe in the experience known as "baptism in the Holy Spirit," which is distinct from salvation and is often accompanied by speaking in tongues (glossolalia).
